Lauren gets married...on New Years Eve!

This New Years was amazing. I spent it with people I love, watching two people celebrate their love for each other. I can't think of a better way to start off 2010. Congratulations Lauren and Daren. I'm so happy for you both.

The good looking groom and bride, Daren and Lauren. I wish you the best in your future together. I love you both.

Let's Go Gators! My cheer ladies (sans bride) Shae, Katie, MK and me. Side note: I am the only one of them unmarried - weird feeling.

Me and the beautiful bride.

My hot date, trying to be sexy ;)

Mary, you make a really cute kid. Baby Addison rings in 2010 with a nap.

Thank you Patty for giving up your New Years to be my date.

Holly and Kelley take Sarasota!

Last week Holly picked me up and we made our way down to Sarasota to meet up with our favorite boys of Museum Walk. It was so good to see everyone. Just like old times, minus the whole being in college thing. I already miss them all. At least Holly is waiting for me in NY :)

We started our night by watching the sunset on the Gulf and a little bubbly.

In the back of the Tahoe. JUST like the old days :)

Most of the Museum Walk crew. Funny how all the ladies now live in NY.

Bry Bry is one lucky guy.

Let's get this party started

I have to say that I am quite happy that 2009 is over. It has been a really rough year for me and I have had no trouble moving on from it. However, mixed between the horrors the year brought I did have a few good experiences: having my sister come live with me for a few months, my old roomie moving in next door to me, and meeting some really great new friends and becoming increasingly close to others. I sure hope 2010 brings me happy memories and amazing experiences. I decided to make a few resolutions to help start the year out right.

K's 2010 Resolutions
1. FIND A JOB, hopefully in an amazing new city.
2. Get more sleep every night. My unemployment has really allowed me to get 8 hours of sleep a night and help my under eye circles disappear. I like this.
3. Use my new freezable tupperware and cook more meals so that I can just defrost something yummy and healthy when I am feeling lazy.
4. No red meat. It hurts my stomach and I rarely eat it anyway.
5. Eat more brussels sprouts. Those suckers are yummy.
6. Improve my Scrabble skills. I'm sick of embarrassing myself.

Christmas in Florida

This year for Christmas we spent the day at my cousins' house. Christmas is so much better spent around kids. They just get so excited about all the new fun toys they get to play with. I miss the days when a box of crayons and a color book got me excited. Ok, who am I kidding. I still get excited about them and did actually get a brief moment to practice staying in the lines until my cousin got bored and wanted to try out her Easy Bake Oven. The rest of my day was spent playing Sponge Bob Operation, kicking butt in Wii hula hooping and stuffing my face. We even got video footage of my mom Wii hula hooping (black mail?). I love my family.

How cute is this ornament? My cousin made it in school :)

Odin was trying to be sneaky and create a stash in case he needed to hibernate.

Jessie and Odin played a few games of I spy.

Mom and Vanessa were getting really into the Wii.

Cait and grandma playing the planet game.

Christmas and Aging.

As I get older I find myself asking for less and less exciting things for Christmas. Last year I asked for bed risers so I can hide all my crap under my bed. This year I asked for freezable tupperware. I live a really exciting life.

Sisterly Love. Here I am modeling my new boots. They go really well with my pj bottoms and "I heart Univision" t-shirt. Jessie sporting her new Kevin Smith jersey.

Some of my new gifts: boots, gloves, camera bag, umbrella and Christmas coffee mug!

I live for good food.

The other night one of my most loyal readers made their way into my mom's kitchen all the way from Scottsdale, Arizona to test out his culinary school training and create a masterpiece for my mom, sister and I. I have to say that I. LOVE. CULINARY. STUDENTS. We ate homemade cream corn (I didn't know anything could be so delicious!), some awesome Indian inspired chicken dish on apricot and clove infused jasmine rice and some naan-like flat bread. Clearly the corn didn't go with the dish, but it is my sister's favorite. So good. Johnny, you can come cook for me and my neighbor every night in New York. You rock.

That sure is an Ugly Sweater!

Last Saturday I headed to my friend's place for an ugly Christmas sweater/Christmas movie marathon party. It was perfect. Snow was falling the whole time and it was quite magical. Such a great way to get be in the spirit!

Those are some snazzy sweaters. Ebay wars at its best.

Look at all that holiday spirit! You can sort of see the snow in the window :)

They are a packaged deal :)

Look how hard it's snowing!
